Time

Time emerges from the thick of things draped over the backs of victors

Heavy hearted soldiers bearing burdens of the past

Light-stepping youths with hopes of the future

Droning on from the dryly worded mouths of professors – wah-wa-wa-wa-waaaaah

Falling on deaf ears of mundane looking students

Monotonously, tediously flicking pencils

Seemingly heeding its message

But seeing only…

                hearing only…

                                feeling only…

their own wants of time

Time emerges from the thick of things over the backs of victors.
