That Time Again

It's that time

Once more, once again.

Anxiety comes back from the dead,

A fresh corpse, not long laid to rest.

Teachers become jailors,

School, a prison sentence that could last a lifetime.

Grades are nothing more than numerical bondage,

A goal that consistently holds you back from true freedom.

And so once again, you become a slave,

To a system that you never quite cared for.
