When I was 6 I wished to be 16, because then I’m officially a teenager and not just any teen but a sweet 16. 

 

“Enjoy being a kid while you can”

 

When I was 16 I wished to be 18, to finally be adult. My mom told me “don’t waist time away”

 

Now I’m soon to be 18 having to worry about credit scores, scholarships, colleges. 

 

Wishing to be 16. Wishing to be . 

Remembering what my mom told me 

“Be a kid while you can”

“Don’t waist time away”

I wish my biggest worry was My reading log.

I wish a hug meant so much.

I wish to be care-free and happy.

I wish.

 

As we flick the next page 

We can reminisce on our childhood and wish for it to be back. 

But the truth of it is,
