Time For A Change

I’m not sure how to describe how I would change the world,

But I know my soul will never be sold

I’m not sure what this is all about,

But I won’t go out and scout

I wanna be this

And I wanna be that

But I don’t want to end up being like cr*p

I think it’s safe to say I want the world to change

Maybe my idea to you seems a little vague,

But that’s OK.

Inspiration is all it takes

Without it, your dream breaks,

It’s all chewed up like a steak.

People hate more than they love

And they all still look as peaceful as a dove

I say it’s right to say it’s time for a change

A little time to break the cycle and rearrange

There are people who can see through America’s little white lies,

But these lies are covered up so much, your loved one is the one who dies!

They serve for our country when America is “in need”

But really the government just wants power so they make it seem as if all this is a "good deed"

This isn’t right,

It hurts like someone just took a bite

Out of my life

After they cut me deep with a knife

The time for change is just around the corner,

Don’t they remember?

The land of the free,

Home of the brave?

I say we’re all cowards

Filled with greed.

It’s not just what we see,

It’s also the way they make us believe.

How we’re not good enough for the rest

If we're simply not the best

It’s a shame what media has done to your soul

It’s like we’re trapped in a bowl

Going round and round

Not being able to rebound

You’re beautiful to me

Just find yourself

And you’ll see

America is no longer querencia,

It’s more like it’s become sehnsucht

I find it hard to believe that our former president is capable of being duende

To someone who is orenda

These reasons are why my soul make me feel like such vagary

I have a passion for being ostranenie

I find myself to be somewhat elysian

And you should, too.

To come to a conclusion

Since all this to you is such confusion,

The world needs people with meliorism

Or at least we all need a little more serendipity

So please remind me,

What’s it like to be free?

One for all

Or all for one?

Hell, America, we’re going, going…

Gone
