Time to Change the System

What I would like to know

is who chooses what we learn.

When will I ever need

the name of our third president,

a trigonometric function,

the definition of positive externality,

the theme of a poem?

Why dont we learn how to

cook and clean,

have a budget,

manage our priorities,

have a healthy diet?

I am being forced to learn things

that will never be of use to me.
