Time Is Confusing

Time is confusing in so many ways

Why seconds to hours? Hours to days?

It wrinkles, slows, and puts gray hair on top.

When did it begin? And when will it stop?

Sometimes it stands still. Then sometimes it flies

Sometimes it disappears when you close your eyes

Often it hits hard, sometimes like a trance

Decisions are final, you get one chance

You only go forward. You never go back.

Now isn’t it weird to be thinking like that?

You can’t ever stop it, though you may try

Just think, as you sleep, time still passes by.

You take it for granted, as if like a chore.

Yet when time is leaving, you wish you had more.
