A Time Lost?

I see the darkness closing in The world bows in disgrace A desperate mother, a hungry child Huddled in this place. Pain brings laughter, love brings grief Good and evil’s balance tears Not even one soul loves another It’s as if no one cares. The depths of hatred manifest luck Perversion of love is rife The times of peace and purity, gone Now all we have is strife What happened to those days, so long ago Maybe if we didn’t “push forward” now We wouldn’t have this pain or suffer this grief We would live in peace somehow. Can we regain this way of life that is lost? Can we make it come back again? I have no way to know, but if we do, Please don’t wake me ‘till then.
