The Time Machine
If my younger self traveled in a time machine,
Soaring the the vast density and distance of the ages,
Would she go to the past?
To see the world before her she knows not,
Of days forgotten or marked forever in the crevice of mankind,
To cherish the fond memories she remembers so well,
Whilst turning misty eyes away from her somber reflections.
Or would she go to the future?
The era of progress and new revelations,
So ahead of her own time that she would conceive a sense of awe,
The wonderment on the breath she expels.
But-If she were to travel to the land of tomorrow,
How far would she really go?
If she were to decide to visit me,
Would she be proud?
Would she feel admiration from beholding my own progression,
That I have finally shed the formalities of my timid disguise,
And now understand that my inner self is more important than this outer skin I am wearing,
Would she be proud?
If my younger self traveled in a time machine,
She would realize we will always be together as one,
She would learn to be proud of her own self,
Because she now knows she has the strength to become who she had always desired to be.
