I remember when I wanted tomorrow

Yesterday, but it’s filled with sorrow.

I want to take it back a day and relive it.

If I had another chance I would give it

All of my heart, strength, and power.

Even if I only went back for an hour

I would be able to set things straight.

I would be able to start with a clean sleight.

I would stop all this pain and hate,

And I know everyone can relate,

Cuz we all start reminiscing,

And we know where we are, wasn’t our vision.

We saw ourselves on the mountain top,

And nothing could, or would ever stop

What we were planning,

And know we’re standing

At the bottom of that mountain

Searching for a youth fountain,

That will bring back the years past

Before we cast our last

Ship on this final journey

Into the abyss, and eternity.

You know, and I know that if we could

That, with no second thought, we would.

In the blink of an eye

Find a way to try

To tell that person that we’re in love,

Or stop and think before push comes to shove.

We would search for our white dove,

And that heavenly rainbow

That’s there to show

The sun will forever glow.
