Time Moves On
Do you wonder where the time went? All those special moments or ordinary daily activities, just memories. Memories unique, played again and again within the depths of the mind till the details merge, things fit no more. Do you remember when you began to grow up? When conversations switched from dolls and toys to boys and clothes, hair, nails, makeup, cars? When you giggle not from being covered in mud but from remebering that first soft kiss? Have you turned around and realized that everyone was 3 feet taller, filled out, full of curves? Do you remember when it truely started? Have you felt the closest people are usually furthest away? Felt everything was moving too fast and you just long to stay? Your not ready to truly grow up nor ready to remain. When his hand isn't a boys any longer but a fully grown mans? His touch isn't about safety but lust , passion, and love? Your body betrays you, you want it too. Is this when we finally grow up? Who even gets to choose? Who tells us when it's time to grow? How will we even know? When we've reached our destination do we continue or stop and wait? If I see the others making choices, trying new things, growing, changing, do we have to change too? Can we stay the same? If I make my own choices, try new things, slowly growing up, will people notice? Do they, like I, wish things wouldn't change? Scared of loss? Of being left behind? Can I just sit and watch others live? Remembering as they were, could've be, could've been? If I hold on too tightly how can I move on? How do I grow up, live my life? Make decisions, take responsibility leave the pack. I guess time continues whether you want it to or not. Leaving you or taking you throughout the journey of life.
