Time Old and New

To all the nights wasted staring above

White to dark as the sky turns away

Early morning and late summer nights

I sit alone to acknowledge the time passed

But the next time sit and watch I sit with you

And we took a tour of the old and new

Finally the hurricane comes to a stop

Just for a couple of hours

Even though for just an hour

I would only spend it just with you

Radiant stars create a memory

And I hear the train come at two

To all the years I spent with you

Recalling and foretelling days to come

All connected that lead us on a path

So that we would sit on these stairs tonight
