Time is Only Time

Location

Time flies by,

ever so quickly.

When you’re having fun

you always want it to just

stop in its tracks,

leaving you to you and your fun times

to your fun.

When you sit in a boring class,

time seems to tick by,

ever so slowly.

You only want it to speed up

but instead,

it only seems to slow.

As you await that meeting

with someone you’ve been wanting

to spend time with

for so long;

the time seems to go slow and fast,

all at a steady rhythm.

As you await a meeting

with someone

you are not looking forward to seeing;

someone,

like lady Death;

time seems to speed up

with each passing second,

but is really going

very slowly.

Time is a funny thing.

It increases and decreases it's speed,

At least, it seems that way.

In reality time is not changing

but continuing at the same,

constant pace.

It is only the illusion

our minds choose to trick us with,

to make it seem as though

time races forward

or slows to an almost agonizingly snaillike pace.

Time is only just that, time.
