As Time Passes

It starts when you are born New to the world that has just embraced your existence It is only the beginning of a long journey As time passes your eyes truly begin to open to the world Your eyes become aware of varies people along with their actions and emotions You try to understand these people, but it becomes difficult when they do not try to understand you As time passes you become even more knowledgeable and you have picked a path to follow However many obstacles and temptations try to manipulate your decisions Only if your will is strong enough will you be able to pass these hurdles As time passes you start your own family, continuing the cycle of life You hope to teach your children everything you have learned Then maybe they might just follow in your footsteps As time passes years seem to merge and time seems to be going too fast The advances in technology are astounding, going beyond comprehension as to how it works But you realize you are not alone because many others are experiencing the same thing As time passes it becomes more difficult to get through the day You will often remember the past and all that you were able to accomplish in your life These memories will keep you at ease as you gently go to sleep As time passes people will come to visit your resting place They will remember the good and bad times shared with you Before leaving they have only one question they would wish to ask Was your life worth living, and if so did you die happy
