In Time Of Profound Sorrow

In time of excruciating sorrow

Nothing is funny

Nothing is easy

Think of a better tomorrow

Be strong, pray the Almighty

To lighten the heavy load of the pain

Because we all sin

We have a similar destiny

We’re all profoundly hurt

When we lose a grandmother

A grandfather, a mother, a father

Siblings and many friends. We burst

Into undrying tears. When it rains, it pours

We cry even through our pores

For a long time. It is deeply painful

To ponder and to live. We can't understand

And it’s hard to breathe and to stand

Even when the body and the soul

Are not old, feeble or weak

Life is sometimes blank and bleak

However, we must not discourage

We must be resilient, humble and sage

In time of profound sorrow

God is the answer

Love is the answer

For a better tomorrow.

P.S. I want to express my sincere condolences

To you, my friend, in these painful and trying days.

I love you.
