The time shall come

   Time, so selfish and impatient
     Yet valuable and ancient
     Allows no returns no redo's
It gives no head's up nor clues
Never ending, as far as we know
It doesn't age, it doesn't grow
It can't be changed, nor controlled
Or like most things, traded or sold
We can keep track of it as it passes
But eventually we all fade, like burnt up ashes
     The wise stay organized
To avoid lost causes, and confusions
While others get lost in made up illusions
     False conceptions, and severe delusions
The clock isn't stopping , rich or poor black or white , it doesn't discriminate there are no breaks
Morning comes around ,and another day wakes
Staying on top of things, would be thinking ahead
The reality is, that one day your dead
Acknowledging that this might be true
Is most likely a better thing to do
     Although making better tomorrows
     Often causes for less sorrows
     Tick,tock,tick, tock
      I'm ready, I'm not
Deciding if I can, or if I cannot
Now that I think about it, it's not a big deal
Besides everyone dies, is life surreal
Things keep going, now at a faster pace
Most of my loved ones are gone , is this a race
     I'm convinced it is
Is the last survivor a winner
The thought of being alone just makes me tremble and quiver
Will I be remembered, if so , of what
It doesn't really matter, I'm dead , so so what
The moment has arrived, the time hath come
Time still goes on , but mine is done.
