Time Ticks On
Since freshman year, I’ve known you,
But it seems like so much longer.
Though we aren’t together every day,
Our relationship still grows stronger.
Neither the widest sea nor the tallest mount
Can separate our love.
I thank the Father for you daily;
You’re a gift from God above.
There is more I want to say,
So much more I want to write,
But words, oh words
Just won’t do, not quite.
Words seem inadequate to express
The feelings between us two,
But know this: I always have,
And I always will love you.
