Time Ticks

I lay here thinking at night
Full of a terrible fright
What about me is so wrong
That I've been alone for so long
I wish I could see her smile
The girl I will see one day
For I'd walk a million miles
To make my direction her heart's sway

I know she's out there
And I wish I knew where
If only I could be so strong
That for her I won't feel so wrong
It'll take some time
Even as I make this rhyme
Time ticks closer and closer
Until the day I meet her
I just wish it wasn't so far
I'm not happy as I are
