This Time is Tinged With Sadness

This time is tinged with sadness

And through tears we say farewell

For a moment steeped with sorrow

In the silence we will dwell

But when that time is over

And we write your epitaph

The thing we will remember

Is the way that you would laugh

The many tears of laughter

Is how you will be defined

You may have gone before us

But your joy has stayed behind
