Time You Enjoy Wasting

Not all seconds were created equal

Some get more

Creative attention

Than the minute before it;

Wastes of time

But If you terraform your time of leisure to become

grounds suitable for learning and creative expression

was it really a waste of time?

procrastination as inspiration

I never consume empty media, I make sure it’s rich in technique and artistry

I watch in shock and awe

Imagining myself creating the same works of art I see in front of me

Watching t.v. like an astrologist would observe extraterrestrials through a telescope

The greatest cinematographers, the finest short filmers

Their finesse and color

I’d include myself in their galaxies

Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder

I sit at the edge of the universe staring at the universe’s Iris

The big bang on screen.

Magic before my eyes

I’m entranced. Inspired.

Excluded. Retired.

And when I get tired of sitting on the sidelines

I join in

Launch myself past the stratosphere

A trail of euphony and color grading left behind

I recreate

Reinterpret

Release

The difference between doing something in your free time

And freeing your time to do something.
