time Zoned out

Why must time zones be? Must eight o'clock have the same meaning for me as anyone else, half, a quarter, an eighth way around the globe? All it does is confuse and cause me to misuse Skype My phone, or any communicative device. And on other orders who decided these borders? So many are jagged, does YOUR sun fall that way? One mile over, how much longer does it stay. An hour? No. When friends are abroad how much time is wasted calculating whose zone dictates what they did when they met and yet You calculate to find the date and time to meet, but you're still late. Because you forgot about daylight savings or lack thereof. So you wait until next time. Time. Time you can't wait to see their face again. In YOUR time zone.
