timeflieswhenyou’rehavingfunbut
time
stops.
when you’re in love.
Everything else
chan-ges.
(promises fade)
….
the past rearranges.
but ours is a constancy
that cannot be contested.
seconds are arrested, and
minutes are redefined as
the rate of
the rise and fall of your chest.
I can attest
to this.
When sunrise and sunset
equate to one day and
even that
is a myth.
Darling,
I insist —
lay with me here,
and
nothing else
needs to exist.
