Timeless Drugged Love
Breathe of fresh air, hard to grasp
His body weakens as she passes
Can't think of anything else,
she overtakes every thought.
Infatuated with her body
as he falls at her feet
Nervous sweat glistens, words stumble out.
Frantically speaks, rushes every phrase.
Ah sounds like oh.
The earth is moving under his feet.
A sweet song plays her laugh.
Shines bright through the thick night, her smile.
Takes him away from everything, her soft guiding hand.
These precious moments, can there be end to them?
What ruins this is that
Time can be a cruel mistress.
Drugged up by her looks,
he overdoses with her personality.
The cure, no doctor knows for this disease.
This virus brings them to their knees.
It consumes more of them the longer they have it.
Now he may learn what love can be
since he learns she had relapsed for him.
They can't turn their backs for this is love.
As days turn into weeks
which then comes the months and years,
the winter snow becomes spring rain,
the auburn autumn to summer leaves.
Sun rises from the east, but does not set in the west,
for this love has no rest.
