TIME'S TALE

The tale that only time can tell Too many secrets locked within the lock's lost keys The only keys that once opened your unfathomably beautiful mind Only proved to be nothing but a trap For how could I break the mind that was already made up Time speaks the oldest language ever spoken yet we understand Healing hearts with empty holes that cannot be filled with sand But time hurts more than any pain ever does And leaves us falling like sand in the hourglass Or like bad eggs that will never hatch Or rusty gears holding time within a watch Time holds promises whether honoured or broken Time holds words whether written or spoken The hope in "We still have time" The pain in "Once upon a time" Time plays the sweetest symphonies Time plays the solemn melodies Maybe we were meant to part in pieces and not in peace Maybe some day we'll look back and reminisce And regret the wrongs that can not be undone Or maybe realise we were meant to be Yin and Yang Only time will tell
