The Tiny Love In Her Heart

Once upon a time,

a woman lived hurt and batterred,

whom hopes and dreams were long since tatterred,

she laid in the dust broken and shatterred.

Outcast by the Queen and King she had one adored,

Remembering the lessons her mother had taught her before,

She learned to be rotten to her core.

She cursed the innocent baby princess,

but true love would render it useless.

Her prince would come to his princess' aid,

the man whom the woman would fight in vain,

A sword in her chest is all she gained.

So here she laid at deaths door,

still clinging to life by a thread,

which fate was going to cut for sure,

until a man lept from the shadows to save her from death.

Man or fairy she could not tell,

but he did heal her with magic well.

She would turn to leave without a goodbye,

or even a thank you as she flew into the sky.

Yet that man would follow her till the end of his days.

He would protect and aid her in so many ways,

and not even a thank you she would say,

She simply continued to keep good at bay.

A child would be born that would tear them apart,

as he would have to leave in deaths arms.

With his life he paid to prevent a newborn having a beatless heart.

Even though he could not stay,

he would be with the woman every day.

He had done what only  her and her daughter could,

earned the only bit of  love in Malificent's Heart.
