TIny Toes
Tiny little feet,
A gorgeous wide-eyed smile,
And 10 little fingers
Tip-toe into life.
We prepared,
Our home opened for another,
Our hearts warmed for a girl.
A surprise, but happiness nonetheless,
A miracle brought to life in unlikely circumstances,
A spectacular happening.
Nine months, seemingly two,
Passed in preparation for our blessing,
A new home, new room, and new hopes
Became the year that we welcomed
our sunshine into the world and
into our hearts forever.
