Tip-Toeing In Dance Shoes

I wish I could dance

with my hips I'd slowly sway

and display this ache ache in my soul

Sometimes---I feel so torn

I want to bend...and leap...and delicately spin

on anxious tip toes

and reach out to touch your heart

Make you feel what I feel

Grab you by the hand

and take you on this rhythmic journey

Dance...with...me

Toss me...and catch me

Twist and turn me until I'm dizzy in

your supposed love

Show me how you feel

on our very own empty dance floor

Come on, dance with me
