Tired

"Are you ok?" they always ask

"I'm just tired." I say as a mask

I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm tired.

Why does my heart feel like it's wired

It thrashes in my chest.

Hiding it, I try my best.

"Are you ok?" they always ask

"I'm just tired." I say as a mask

Screwed up is the truth.

I shouldn't be this messed up in my youth.

My mind races

The silence, my head embraces.

"Are you ok?" they always ask

"I'm just tired." I say as a mask

My, oh my, the things I hear.

My thoughts, I wish would disappear.

I listen to my music,

It's almost therapeutic.

"Are you ok?" they always ask

"I'm just tired." I say as a mask
