tired
my head. It bobs.
my eyes, they droop.
my neck bends.
don’t sleep!
my fingers they slow,
my breath it steadies.
my work as my pillow.
don’t sleep!
minutes lag on as hours
hours seems like days
the clock stands still.
don’t sleep!
my muscles relax
my arms slide on the table,
until my head reaches its wood.
I give up. I gave in.
I’m asleep.
