Tired

The silence was unnerving as I sat there beside you Receiving a cold shoulder again Making me consider once more If I indeed had chosen right to let go I was tired of being the only one Picking up the shattered pieces Of what we both Used to call a friendship Exhausted of being the only one Trying to hold these broken fragments together And seeing if they could still fit Heartbroken from being the only one Who felt the pain of each shard Allowing them to slip from my fingers Once I had enough of it all But truth be told I felt free from a burden Once it finally ended And concluded again That I have no regrets Leaving you to sit in silence While I went to speak to true friend
