'Tis Beauty!

The hills! all drenched in green and rich with life, And billowed clouds above, all gold or gathering grey - Shot through with sunset, or (often) threatening storm - And birdsong beneath! lilting, lifting, laughing light. Bright daisies dot a flowing sea of green, White sailboats break the rushing sea of blue; The stars ring out their shining voices clear And air, wind-whirled, sun warmed, mothers all through and through. 'Tis beauty - beauty! - that sets my heart a-flight; 'Tis beauty that inspires my pen to write.
