Tis Been Awhile

Tis Been Awhile

Tis been awhile ya know,

to be a sitting down,

writing,

contemplating,

trying to clear one’s head

to be a describing,

a new verse or two,

then hopefully for me

those words will come easily,

like waves

pounding on a coastal stretch;

shore bound,

hopefully words will be a flowing forth,

like times of yore

and in books before

I will accomplish anew,

another thoughtful insight

of this poet laureate,

this creator of the words,

so tis been awhile ya know

since sitting down to write

another poetic gem.

with daily doses of small increases,

that becomes henceforth

of consistency becoming the mother of mastery,’

and increments of improvements

becomes the father of the exception,

then enhancements become the norm;

not the exception,

to a brand-new way of living,

and primeval way of thinking.
