TIS BEEN AWHILE

'tis been awhile you know,

to be a sit down,

writing,

contemplating,

trying to clear one head

to be a writing so,

a new verse or two,

then hopefully for me

those words will come easily,

like waves

on coastal stretch,

when shore bound,

words will be flowing forth,

like times of yore

and in many books before,

I will acclomplish anew,

another thoughtful insight

of this poet laureate,

this creator of the words,

so 'tis been awhile you know;

since sitting down to write

another poetic gem.
