My maiden voyage is near.
The ocean’s calling, can’t you hear?
My heart is pounding, my flames are burning.
My mooring lines hold tight, but I am still yearning,
Yearning for that chance of first run.
All come aboard, this’ll be fun!

At last I am freed from the lines that held tight.
My captain lets go as I spread my wings for first flight.
The ocean is calm as I glide across it all day.
My next stop is far, America all the way.
The weather is calm with a nice cool breeze.
No wonder I am called “The Ship of Dreams.”

My elegance shows throughout my whole body.
Nothing about me was built to be shoddy.
Night falls as the dinner bugle sounds.
My passengers flood in while a child bounds
For his mother, who is on another deck.
Suddenly I shudder and everyone turns their neck.

An iceberg is what I hit.
People keep eating as I throw a fit.
I am groaning, warning them to hurry.
But I am unsinkable, there’s nothing to worry.
I take on water where the iceberg had pierced me.
I am sinking under my passengers’ noses, can’t they look to see?

I am falling into the watery depths below.
My captain shouts orders as my distress horn begins to blow.
Lifeboats lower into the water that’s cold.
People are reluctant, both the young and the old.
Half-filled boats float away one by one.
All the boats have left, six-hundred are gone.

Fifteen-hundred are left to die.
My time has come, it’s time to say goodbye.
I now lay in my watery grave two miles below.
No longer will I see light, no longer will my horn blow.
Rusticles act as the tears that I weep.
Dancing over my dead body lying in the deep.

My soul rests with the survivors now.
My spirit rests with those who have never seen my prow.
My heart lies in the stories that are told.
They tell of how the water was so cold.
My hull rests at the bottom of the Atlantic.
It tells of a story that was oh so Titanic.

I liked your poem Showjumperstar. I like how you made it so it was from the ship's point of view.
