To need or not to need,

A want so simple sweet

To live without

my loving dog

Would be detrimental as a

Cold morning fog indeed.

My faithful companion

My wholesome little peep

Would be all that I would take with me

And trudge with he,

the dunes of life with mighty

Glee I’d be.
