Today

I want today to be over

That’s what I think everyday

I live every moment for the next one

I live for everything to stop.

I want today to be over

So that I can reach the night

But as soon as I do I want night to be over

So I can escape my mind.

I want today to be over

A feeling of barrelling forward

A feeling of no purpose

A feeling of restlessness.

I want today to be over

But I want the week to be over

I want the month, the year, the decade

To be over.

Sometimes I want my life to be over and done with already.

For now, I’ll just focus on today.
