Today
You never know what may happen today.
From the falling rain, to a sunshine ray.
You could happiness, love, and nothing but gain,
But do not realize you could be one with all hurt and pain.
We take for granted what we have and see.
When one soul could be taken, one we desperately need.
You never know what may happen today.
So be wise and kind, do watch what you say.
Much can come down in a second too brief.
Just a second to spare could send us all into grief.
A moment lost, lost in time so quick,
The clock won’t stop, there’ll still be a tick.
You never know what may happen today.
There’s nothing you can do, but sit down and pray.
