today I saw,

Today I saw love passed down. Today I saw a lesson being taught. Today I saw a father play his role. Our future is so imporant and we never forget that every move counts. But I let you slip through my hands when  I forgot. I saw you as the father of my kids .Yes, I know "so young" but my heart is old it'll, fail me before I fail at life.  and I wanted you to be "that guy"...after a while of course. 

Falling In love with you was never the plan, but the best things in life are unpredicted, pulling all these feelings apart to put the worlds "I love you" together. Today when I saw you, I didn't cry, But I did want to put my hand out and wait for your fingers to meet mine, cause it always felt perfect even when it was on the wrong side. All these songs remind me of you but thats just it. ALL THESE SONGS REMIND ME OF YOU. And today I saw you. but eventually one day I wont see you for a long time. 

Today I saw a family growing and I thought about ours but you're leaving and so am I. our family is going to come to end before it has a chance to begain. you wont see our daughters smile or our sons eyes. you wont see what kind of family we would have been. 

today I saw the aparment i'm moving into without you, in four years i'll be moving out of state. 

today I saw my life without you, and all those nights I spent crying cause I wanted you back...yeah I never saw myself like that again.
