Today I smiled

Today I smiled for no reason at all A smile that broke when tears began to fall These tears were different from the past It was relief from my pain at last Today I smiled for myself and no one else The sun shines bright even on a rainy day One must be willing to travel beyond the skies of gray My skin feels warmth it's been a stranger to for so long I look up to the blue sky and admit I was wrong Wrong about who I am as a person Looking in a puddle is the first time I recognized my reflection Could it be that I've been living in the wrong direction? I finally felt free of others view of me Will this feeling last... I guess we'll see. Whatever the case today I smiled.
