Today's Her Birthday

Today Is Her Birthday.

Today is her birthday

But she can not celebrate.

Today is her birthday

Yet all I do is cry.

Today is her birthday

And I call out to her

And I ask her “why?!”

What pushed her over the edge?

What made her hurt so bad she was better off dead?

I will never know.

But today is still her birthday.

She turns 16 today.

I can see her now like a beautiful sun ray.
