Together

Your hand in my back left pocket,

My arm around your waist;

We appear perfect to the outside world,

Because they can’t see the inside.

The raging battle going on,

The non existing peace.

We’re at war;

With each other.

The hand in my pocket,

Actually stopping me from

Doing anything but what you want.

My ears are still ringing from you

Screaming constantly at me

I hurt everywhere

From you abusing me.

I never sleep anymore…

You took over my dreams,

Always violent

Never pleasant.

Are we really together?

Welcome to the story of my life…
