Together We Walked

On the beaten path together we walked Onto a world that had stood divided, With moral code broken and blocked. Explosions and violence rang though the street, Humanity tossed aside for blind abhor And truth lay desolate on the concrete. But like a beating drum, steady and unafraid, A voice called out “Let Freedom Ring!” He called us kin to end this deadly crusade. Step by step we walked out of the darkness Letting in the light as our guide, Striving for our hearts to be boundless. It is on this broken road that our minds were unlocked, Through all the struggles, together we walked.
