Toilet Paper

The question is always necessity or luxury

But some of these fall in between.

Toilet paper is one.

I'm stranded on an island

Having just done my business

And look around expectantly.

Out of habit reaching to my side

Only to be left with a dirty behind.

There is no toilet paper.

I wrestle with misery for a second or two.

Not feeling quite fine.

An idea, I waddle over to the forest.

A handy leaf will have to work this time.
