Tomorrow
One day I will wake and spread my wings to leave my mother's nest.
I am no longer protected by mamas wing, It is now time for me to leave,
It is my time to go, but where? I am lost and feel a darkening when I think of it.
I have to choose the right path, the right studies, the right university… What if I choose wrong?
My decisions replay like music through my head.
I can't stop thinking about what lies ahead, for I can no longer let my mother choose for me,
I am longer comforted by the warmth and security of mama,
I am not the same little girl I once was.
I must extend my wings and my mind looking for my next foundation of education.
A college.
This could affect my whole life as i'll be leaving and beginning my own path
My own life.
The college life will be mine but what will be next,
What will I do,
Who will I be,
Where will I go?
I will spread my wings as they carry me to my destiny
