Tomorrow

I wish I could show you how beautiful you are,

But you are as distant as a star.

And I don't think I can ever get to you,

Nonetheless talk to you.

So I listen to that song that reminds me of my feelings,

And I put my feelings in a poem.

But writing doesn't solve all problems,

Maybe I just need to stop hiding away,

Because I don't have to make those same mistakes.

You already know and that is all my fault,

I was frozen by fear of rejection.

Because you can't be rejected if you never ask,

So maybe I am finally taking off this mask.

I hope you know that I became a better person because of you,

Yet I don't even try which all I can do.

So now I sit at this keyboard contemplating,

What will I do tomorrow?
