Tomorrow Is Always Better
I believe...
That tomorrow is always better than the day before. After experiencing all of the pain, heartache, the stress. After shedding gallons of tears, so much so that headaches replace the space where bliss and peace once occupied. Given such pain...
We sleep.
We sleep and we dream dreams that aren't the reality we're wrapped in. We dream of things as they were and as we would like them to be still, but not as they will be nor as they are.
We sleep and we dream and in the early cracks of dawn we wake; only to find that what we thought was reality was just a
Dream.
And things are still the same as yesterday, or so we think, but...
Through the course of the night we had not noticed the small changes that our minds were preparing us for a better tomorrow through our dreams.
Today, the tomorrow of yesterday, we lose some of the pain we had. We shed tears but not as many as the day before. We feel the pain though somehow it has become bearable enough to handle and we become
Busy. Busy with the things to keep us thinking of things other than yesterday and then
We sleep. Again we dream, dreams that aren't the reality we're a part of. We dream of things as they were and now more realistically, how we would like them to be, but maybe not exactly as they will be.
We sleep and we dream and in the later cracks of dawn, we wake to find that what we thought was reality was just a dream and things have changed since yesterday and the day before. And again through the course of the night, we had not noticed how our minds were preparing us for a better tomorrow through false reality.
Today, which is the tomorrow of yesterday but not of the day before, we lose more of the pain that was left. We shed no tears and we feel the echo of the pain that resides where love once did.
Now we don't need to be busy. We don't need a distraction to tick away the time until our hearts are at ease. We realize there is no need because time heals all wounds and with time comes tomorrow which will always be better than the day before and with that...
We sleep.
