Tomorrow, There is Happiness

Why do I have to get up? Why can't I stay here? It's not perfect But it's nice Why can't more people settle for that? Yes they have goals But maybe for the wrong reasons Or maybe they are for it All the wrong way So much stress So much hustle and bustle We claim that We’re tough that way But how is that any different Than just being numb Numb to the pain And numb to the strain But is that what you should Because that includes the good We can't be happy These goals lead to higher goals We have so much greed So much we think is need And we lose the fun We assume we must work through To reach that happiness But if the goals don't stop Then we forever endure Why can't we enjoy The work it takes to get there Lessen the pace And the stress that you'll face Can finally start to fade And you can be happy with what you've made So happy with what you've done And decide that you're not done So long as you dwell under the sun

Longboard_Man

I've been writing poetry for about two years now, I just finished my first year at Purdue and I am a gymnast, parkour enthusiast, longboarder and I do pretty much every other extreme sport, and I adore nature.
