Tomorrow's Tomorrow

Sat, 05/21/2016 - 14:28 -- EmmeM

10,000 dreams, more sleepless nights

And a million waking hours.

A quarter life to think, play and cheat

But I still hold onto bittersweet silence.

I’m always looking towards middle’s end,

Holding onto tomorrow’s tomorrow.

The ups and the downs have come and they’ve gone,

And numbness was here for a while.

I’ve gained knowledge enough to benefit, crush or relieve

But I still hold onto bittersweet silence.

I’m always looking toward middle’s end,

Holding onto tomorrow’s tomorrow.

10,000 times I’ve wrote this song,

In all my waking hours.

A quarter life lived full, strong and clean

But I still hold onto bittersweet silence.

I’m always looking toward middle’s end,

Holding onto tomorrow’s tomorrow.
