Tomorrow's too Late

Impatiently waiting for the doorbell to ring I hop round' & dress myself happily I pray to god that this isn't a joke Some phone prankster playing a hoax I have so many questions to ask, Like; how can you let so many years go past? Why did you leave us never coming back home.. & why did you leave mommy crying all alone? Do I have any other brothers & sisters? Should I call him daddy, father or MR.? What have you been doing all this time? Without knowing whether we were dead or alive.. Before I can continue to think, I hear my mom catching the phone on its second ring... She picks up Seems like she's talking to a man Her voice trembers with anger as she says; "I understand".. She puts the phone down, walking towards my room She says: baby, I'm sorry..he isn't coming but he wants to set another date. I look upon her teary eyed and say But mommy, today is early & tommorow's too late...
