Too Bad You Did Not Know

Why have you left me stranded on this deserted island to die?

Surely you know

Without water, I die

Without food, I die

Without love, I die

But I am not dead

My heart is steady beating

The Holy Bible has been etched in my soul

Its powerful words keep me alive

It is the only thing I need

It is the only thing I have

It is the only thing I know

God’s word rescued me

It quenched my thirst

It stopped my hunger

It repaired my broken heart

Though I may physically die on this island

My soul will live forever

Too bad you did not know
