Too busy to say

It's not a special book,

like the ones you see on TV,

but it's mine and it means a lot to me.

It doesn't have sparkles on the cover,

like the ones the pretty girls have,

but it belongs to me and it wasn't meant to look pretty.

It isn't filled with happy poems,

like the ones people get published,

but I created the content and its the words I'm too scared to say.

I don't want to share it,

like the brave people who talk aloud,

but I bottle them up and the lid no longer fits.

I still have that plain, brown leather book,

like a secret I can no longer keep,

but I write the content piece by piece and place them around so others can read.
